Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010069305A1] The invention relates to a suspension device (1) for resiliently suspending a mass body (3) in relation to a substructure (2), for example a driver's cab of a truck in relation to the vehicle chassis (2). The suspension device has a spring/damper arrangement (4, 5) for damping thrusts and/or oscillations, said arrangement being arranged between the mass body and the substructure (2), and comprises a Watt linkage system comprised of at least one Watt linkage (A, B, C, D, E). The suspension device (1) is characterized in that at least one of the pivoting points of the Watt linkage (A, B, C, D, E) is connected to the mass body and/or to the substructure (2) in a manner so as to be mobile in relation thereto. The relative position between the pivoting point and the mass body and/or substructure can be adjusted by means of at least one substantially linear actuator (11). The suspension device according to the invention is robust and is suitable for determining the degree of freedom of motion of e.g. a truck driver's cab, and for damping or preventing undesired movements of the driver's cab. At the same time, undesired rolling motions, also motions causing rolling and coming from the substructure or the chassis, or a slant of the driver's cab can be actively controlled or prevented by means of actuators.
