Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010066753A1] A brake disc comprising a brake disk friction ring (8) and a brake disc chamber (2) comprised of a chamber ring (3) and expansion elements (6) disposed radially at the chamber ring (3), the ends of said elements facing away from the chamber ring being connected in a form-fitted fashion to the brake disc friction ring (8). The expansion elements (6) are connected to the brake disc friction ring (8) and/or the chamber ring (3) in the radial direction in a form-fitted and/or bonded manner. The expansion elements (6) are also longer than the shortest distance between the chamber ring (3) and the brake disc friction ring (8) and are designed in a radially elastic fashion so that said elements adapt to the thermal deformation of the brake disc friction ring (8). This substantially eliminates shielding of the brake disc friction ring (8). The present invention also relates to two methods for manufacturing such a brake disc (1) in which inserts are poured over in the radial direction in a form-fitted and/or bonded manner. In the first method, additional connection elements are poured between the chamber ring and the brake disc friction ring, said elements protecting the expansion elements during further processing. In a second method, a two-part core is used for manufacturing the brake disc.
