[origin: EP2359703A2] The multi-strand machine has an extraction drum (1) with multiple receivers (6) that are arranged over the outer circumference in a distributing manner. The products (9,10) are received in different strands (R,F). A unit (5) is provided, by which the products are markable with identification characteristics. A detection unit (11) is provided for detecting the identification characteristics and is assigned to a testing unit (12). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a multi-strand machine.
