Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a bow visor (1) for a boat hull (2). Such a solution is thus characterized in that the boat hull (2) has a pointed fore (3), whereby the bow visor (1) constitutes a part of a forebody such that a joint (4) of a freeboard (5) of the boat resides more or less parallel with a centre plane of the boat. This joint further divides a surface between a bottom (6) and the freeboard, a bilge (7), so that the part of the bilge that is located closer to the fore coincides with a lower edge (8) of the bow visor, and the joint then continues towards a stempost along a line where the bilge meets the bottom.
