Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2360945A2] The hearing aid (1) has a low pass filter (18) e.g. elliptic filter, characterized by a cut-off frequency and uncoupling a low pass output signal (105) from an output signal (103) of a signal processing unit (3). A high pass filter (19) is characterized by another cut-off frequency signal and uncouples a high-pass output signal (104) from the output signal of the processing unit. A frequency shift unit changes frequency of the high-pass output signal to high frequencies. A preset spacing is provided between the two cut-off frequencies, where the spacing ranges between 20 to 50 hertz. An independent claim is also included for a method for shifting frequency in a hearing aid.
