[origin: WO2010046533A1] The present invention relates to a railing post or the like (10, 10', 10"), in which the first end (12) of the railing post comprises a fastening arrangement (16), by means of which the railing post or the like (10, 10', 10") can be fastened to a counterpart (216). The fastening arrangement (16) comprises a recess (40) extending from the first end (12) of the railing post towards the second end (14) of the railing post, which recess divides the railing post into a first (41 ) and second (42) support part, and that the first support part (41 ) comprises a fastening part (44) that is movable towards the second support part (42) substantially in transverse direction with respect to the direction of the recess. The invention also relates to a railing applying the railing post and to a walkway applying the railing.
