Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2196633A1] The station (2) has a turbine unit (4) comprising a generator (24) that is connected with a turbine (10) e.g. steam turbine, for power transmission, and a cooling device (30) for cooling the generator. The cooling device delivers waste heat from the generator to a device of the station. The turbine unit has a fuel preheater (20) that is thermally connected with the cooling device. The fuel preheater has a heat exchanger that is thermally connected with a cooling circuit (26) of the cooling device. A fuel feed (18) is guided to the turbine for heating the fuel by the generator.
