[origin: WO2010048974A1] The invention relates to a mouthpiece for the bleaching of teeth, having a semi-circular, curved rail for clamping into the area of the front teeth, said rail having an integrally molded part on the top and bottom which is shaped like a bead or collar and by means of which the upper and lower lips can be spread apart from each other in such a manner that the front teeth are accessible to UV light from outside. The area of the mouthpiece which faces the outside is provided with an opening which reveals the front teeth, and in which partial covering elements can be inserted in an exchangeable manner. The gums can be covered and protected from UV light using these partial covering elements according to the variation in gum and tooth length.
