The hand support (18) has a clamping unit, by which the hand support is brought in clamping connection with the shaft (12). The clamping unit has an operating lever in order to operate the clamping unit for establishing and releasing the clamping connection. A part of a supporting projection is formed by the operating lever. An independent claim is also included for a mountaineer pickaxe with a hoe.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Handstütze (18) zur Montage an einem Schaft (12) eines Bergsteigerpickels (10), wobei die Handstütze (18) einen vom Schaft (12) abstehenden Stützvorsprung zur Abstützung einer Hand eines Benutzers bildet, und wobei die Handstütze (18) ein Klemmmittel aufweist, mittels welchem die Handstütze (18) mit dem Schaft (12) in Klemmverbindung bringbar ist, wobei das Klemmmittel einen Betätigungshebel aufweist, um das Klemmmittel zum Herstellen und zum Lösen der Klemmverbindung zu betätigen, und wobei zumindest ein Teil des Stützvorsprungs durch den Betätigungshebel gebildet ist.
