[origin: WO2010061092A1] The invention relates to a system characterised in that it comprises: a means (20) for acquiring information relating to the respiratory status of the patient (1) in a breathing cycle; a means (21) for acquiring information relating to the operating status of the assistance device (2) in a mechanical cycle; a means for filtering (22) and processing (23) said information to detect and locate changes in the status of the patient in a breathing cycle and of the device in a mechanical cycle; a means (24) for calculating a piece of information on the desynchronisation between the patient and the device according to said status changes; and a means (25) forming a human-machine interface for recreating said piece of desynchronisation information for an operator.
