[origin: EP2364813A2] The tool (100) has a tubular tool body (110) fastened with an end section in a tool shaft (120) and including a cutting area with a honing strip retaining opening to retain a honing strip (150). A clearance compensation device acts between the strip and the retaining opening. The compensation device has an elastically deformable support element (165) supported at a front side surface of the strip at one side and at a front limiting surface of the opening at another side by pressing force in an installed condition of the strip. The limiting surface is provided opposite to the side surface.
