[origin: EP2364817A2] The device (10) has a shifting device (12), which comprises a drill shift sleeve (14), a flap shift sleeve and a locking element (18) that comprises a locking unit (20). The locking unit locks a chuck during drill bit operation. The locking unit is arranged in a main working direction (26) seen below a guiding unit (24). The shifting device comprises a drill drive element (28), and the locking unit is engaged in the drill drive element. The drill drive element is partially arranged in the main working direction seen below the locking element at an operating state.
