The device has an operating device (4) provided along a transportation path and operating a label strip (10) in a predetermined path. A position detecting device (8) detects a position of the strip along a transportation direction. The operating device comprises a cutting unit that cuts the strip. A labeling device is arranged at a downstream part to the transportation direction of the strip concerning the operating device. The labeling device attaches multiple labels on containers. The detecting device comprises an image detection device for receiving two-dimensional images of strip regions. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a set of labels.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (1) zum Bearbeiten von Etikettenstreifen (10) mit einer Vielzahl von aufeinander folgenden Etiketten, mit einer Transporteinrichtung (2), welche den Etikettenstreifen entlang eines vorgegebenen Transportpfades (P) transportiert, mit einer Bearbeitungseinrichtung (4), welche entlang des Transportpfades (P) vorgesehen ist und welche den Etikettenstreifen in einer vorgegebenen Weise bearbeitet und mit einer Positionserfassungseinrichtung (8), welche eine Position des Etikettenstreifens (10) in deren Transportrichtung erfasst, wobei die Positionserfassungseinrichtung (8) eine Bilderfassungseinrichtung aufweist, welche zur Aufnahme von zweidimensionalen Bildern von Bereichen des Etikettenstreifens (10) geeignet ist.
