The method involves providing a printing plate stack (41) from a printing plate supply element (2) for adjusting the plate supply element. Printing plates (42, 43) are separated from the printing plate stack by a separation device (50), where the plate stack is provided in an access area of the separation device. The supply element is moved from a resting position to a removal position, where the supply element rests in the removal position in the access area of the separation device. The supply element is aligned relative to the separation device in a direction by an inclined section (7). An independent claim is also included for a device for providing and delivering printing plates to a printing plate processing device.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Bereitstellung und Übergabe von Druckplatten (42,43) von wenigstens einem Druckplattenstapel (40), welcher von wenigstens einem verstellbaren Druckplattenbereitstellungselement (2) bereitgestellt ist. Bisher werden solche Druckplattenbereitstellungselemente (2) in Magazinen gelagert und durch vertikale und horizontale Bewegungen einer Vereinzelungseinrichtung (50) zugeführt. Die hierfür bekannten Wirkmittel müssen entweder eine genau Positionierung der Druckplattenstapel (40) gewährleisten oder die Vereinzelten Druckplatten (42) müssen entsprechend kompliziert nachträglich ausgerichtet werden. Zur Verringerung des Aufwandes zur Ausrichtung der Druckplatten (42), eines Druckplattenstapels (40) oder eines Druckplattenbereitstellungselement (2) werden Zwangsmittel (7, 9) zur Ausrichtung des Druckplattenbereitstellungselements (2) relativ zur Vereinzelungseinrichtung (50) vorgeschlagen .
