[origin: EP2365586A1] The connector has a plug-in part (10) with multiple contact elements (14) formed as contact bar. A cable receiver includes a strand carrier element for receiving strands of a multi-core flexible cable. The carrier element includes hook elements mounted in a rotatably-movable manner, and the strands are fixed among the hook elements and an inner wall of the carrier element in an installed condition by pivot movement of the hook elements. The strands are inserted into the carrier element, and the hook elements are pivoted along a direction of the strands.
