[origin: WO2010057240A1] The invention relates to a handle (1) for a cane (2) having a holding apparatus (3) for a hand, wherein said apparatus is attached or can be attached to a handle (1) and comprises an attachment section (5), which encloses the hand at the side of the back of the hand at least in the region between the thumb and index finger, and a wrist section (4), which is connected to the attachment section (5) and substantially encloses the wrist or the back of the hand and which is connected to the handle (1) by another attachment section (6) on the side of the palm, wherein the wrist section (4) has an adjustment apparatus (11) so that the circumference of an opening (4') defined by the wrist section (11) can be varied, and wherein a closing apparatus (10) that is separate from the adjustment apparatus (11) is provided, which, when open, allows the hand to be removed from the holding apparatus (3) and inserted into the holding apparatus (3).
