[origin: EP2200335A1] The unit (1) has a housing base body (2) provided with an inner area, and an exciter system (3) arranged in the inner area for producing a mechanical impulse on a diaphragm (20). The inner area is closed in a splash-water impermeable manner. The housing base body is designed as a single-piece with a free running wall. A surface of the housing base body is designed in a water-rejecting manner. The housing base body exhibits an access opening, which is closed in a splash-water impermeable manner by a covering element. A signal generator is arranged on a printed circuit board.
