Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2366555A2] The device (1) has an application roller (4) driven with a book block (2) in rotary manner in same direction. A coating knife case (7) comprises a rear wall (8) and side walls (9.1, 9.2) and forms a container for fluid adhesive (6). A coating knife (10) is provided at the rear wall and adjustable in a distance to the application roller. The side walls are adjustable in an axial direction of the roller according to thickness of the book block to be glued. A sealing element is sealed against the roller and rear wall, and an eccentric shaft (18) is rotatable by a servo-motor (19).
