Abstract (en)
Nonwoven fabric comprises natural fibers (1), where the natural fibers are at least partially split into elementary fibers (2) and supporting strands (3), and the natural fibers exhibit a length of at least 10 mm. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a fiber composite material comprising the nonwoven fabric and a plastic, in which the nonwoven fabric is embedded; and (2) producing the nonwoven fabric, comprising providing a fibrous web of natural fibers, subjecting the fibrous web with water jets at a pressure of 50-400 mPa, and solidifying the fibrous web to a nonwoven fabric with simultaneous splitting of the natural fibers into elementary fibers and supporting strands.

Ein Vliesstoff, umfassend Naturfasern (1), wobei die Naturfasern (1) zumindest teilweise in Elementarfasern (2) und tragende Stränge (3) aufgespalten sind, ist im Hinblick auf die Aufgabe, einen Faserverbundwerkstoff zu fertigen, der nach kostengünstiger Herstellung eine hohe Festigkeit zeigt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Naturfasern (1) eine Länge von mindestens 10 mm aufweisen.
