[origin: EP2366870A2] The rotor (1) has a shaft (3) for supporting a turbine wheel (2) or a compressor wheel, and a porous metallic or ceramic adapter (4) provided between the turbine wheel and the shaft for attaching the turbine wheel and the shaft. The adapter is connected to the turbine wheel and/or the shaft by an infiltration process, where the adapter is annular shaped or disk shaped and integrated into a rear side of the turbine wheel. The shaft has a conically tapered area with an external thread at a free end.
