[origin: WO2010057995A1] The invention relates to a value document (1) such a bank note or an identification document comprising forge protection means such as holographic structures (10) and windows (12). The value document (1) has a glossy surface in the area of the forge protection means, whereas the remaining surface areas or the biggest fraction of the remaining surface areas exhibit a matte appearance. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a value document. In the process, an offset printing ink is printed with a high register accuracy with respect to the forge protection means and a full-surface layer of radiation-cured lacquer is applied thereto. In the areas (19, 19') in which only radiation-hardened lacquer exists, the coating (14, 14') is glossy; however in the remaining areas, the coating is matte.
