The ceiling or wall element is provided with a grid-like surface element (2), and a flat wall section (1.1) of a frame (1) running transverse to the plane of the surface element. The front sides of the surface element are partially covered such that the narrow front side of the flat wall section runs from the visible side along the edge of the surface element. The lugs (1.2) are provided on the inner circumference of the frame in a distance from the lower edge of the wall section, on whose lower side the surface element is fixed.

Decken- oder Wandelement, umfassend ein gitterförmiges Flächenelement (2), einen im Wesentlichen quer zur Ebene des Flächenelementes (2) verlaufenden flächigen Wandabschnitt (1.1) eines Rahmens (1), der die Stirnseiten des Flächenelementes (2) zumindest abschnittweise so abdeckt, dass die schmale Stirnseite des flächigen Wandabschnitts (1.1) von der Sichtseite aus entlang des Randes des Flächenelements verläuft, wobei Ansätze (1.2) auf dem Innenumfang des Rahmens (1) in einem Abstand vom unteren Rand des Wandabschnitts (1.1) vorgesehen sind, an deren Unterseite das Flächenelement (2) befestigt ist.
