[origin: EP2371244A1] The shelf has two vertical supports (2, 3) arranged at a distance from each other and comprising rear walls (5, 6). The supports support shelf parts arranged one above the other and project at both sides of the walls. The supports are traversed by covering strips (7, 8) at upper ends of the walls. Distance elements (10, 11) are arranged between the strips and the supports. The distance elements form a gap between the strips for laying cables (31, 32) on one side and the supports on the other side. The distance elements are approximately traversed by the cables on a level of the formed gap.
