[origin: EP2371254A2] The hinge (2) has a holding device (7) provided for a damping device (6) and connected with a sanitary element. A fastening device (8) is arranged at a sanitary object in a detachable manner. The holding device is designed as a two-piece with a lower part (9) and an upper part (10). The lower part is directly connected to the sanitary object, and the upper part is connected with the sanitary element. The upper and lower parts are connected with one another over a spring-loaded ball or spring-loaded pin, where the ball or pin is arranged in the upper part or the lower part. An independent claim is also included for a sanitary element connected with a sanitary object over a hinge.
