[origin: EP2372052A2] The device has a receiving unit for receiving identification data of an electronic key, and an evaluation circuit controlling access authorization based on the data. A converter e.g. electric generator such as rotary generator and linear generator, cooperates with movement of a catch (2) and a knob (3). The catch and knob are movable in a direction relative to a closing device, where the direction corresponds to an opening- and/or closing direction of the closing device. The catch and knob cooperate with the converter such that mechanical energy is partially converted into electrical energy.
