Abstract (en)
The optical element (10) is penetrable with light (11) which is generated by a light source (12) arranged in headlight. The optical element has a diffractive structure (14) at an upper surface (13). The diffractive structure serves for influencing a bright-dark-boundary of a low beam of headlight. The optical element is manufactured from plastic material, particularly polycarbonate or polymethyl methacrylate. The diffractive structure forms a spatially sequential prism-like pattern. The surface portion of the pattern on the upper surface amounts up to 50 percent.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Optikelement (10) zur Anordnung in einem Scheinwerfer eines Fahrzeugs, wobei das Optikelement (10) mit Licht (11) durchstrahlbar ist, das von wenigstens einer im Scheinwerfer angeordneten Lichtquelle (12) erzeugbar ist, wobei das Optikelement (10) zur Strahlformung des das Optikelement (10) durchstrahlenden Lichtes (11) dient und wobei das Optikelement (10) an wenigstens einer Oberfläche (13) eine diffraktive Struktur (14) aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die diffraktive Struktur (14) numerisch beschreibbar ist und zur Beeinflussung einer Hell-Dunkel-Grenze (15) eines Abblendlichtes des Scheinwerfers dient.
