[origin: EP2372296A1] The penetrator (1) has a cylindrical penetration body (2) containing an explosive charge (3) initiated by a priming unit i.e. rocket engine (4), where length (L) of the penetrator is less than or equal to 500 mm. The penetration body is extended by a warhead (5) made of tungsten based material having high mechanical characteristics, where thickness (E) of the penetration body increases progressively and continuously at the level of connection of the penetration body with the warhead. The penetration body and the warhead are formed as a single piece.
