[origin: EP2374574A1] The machine (10) has a rotatably driven tool spindle (13) for retaining a honing tool, and a work piece carrier (15) driven by a linear motor in an oscillating manner. The carrier is arranged in a carriage (14) that is connected with a rotor of the linear motor, and the spindle is movably arranged relative to the carrier. A control device aligns the oscillating movement of the carrier and speed of the spindle to each other, and a robot device (17) loads and unloads the carrier, a measuring station (18) and/or a burring station.
