Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2375014A1] The adjuster (4) has a hydraulic valve (3) comprising two working ports (A, B) with a standard opening, and another opening for utilizing pressure peaks due to camshaft alternating torques. Hydraulic pressure is guided from a supply port (P) to one of the two working ports to be loaded, while another of the working ports to be relieved of pressure is guided to a tank port. A switch position (16) of the hydraulic valve is proportionally controlled, and the pressure peaks of the working port to be relieved of pressure are blocked relative to the working port to be loaded.
