[origin: WO2010066412A1] The invention relates to a method and to a production line for producing hot-rolled strips of metal, wherein the cast strip, as a leader strip, initially runs through a first process for homogenizing the microstructure under shield gas, and the leader strip is then subjected to at least one further heat treatment before it is subsequentially subjected to a rolling process for reducing the thickness. After the thickness reduction, the leader strip runs through a second process for homogenizing and recrystallizing the microstructure thereof, before the leader strip finally travels through a cutting device and is cut off from the following leader strip as a completely rolled hot-rolled strip.
