Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010066972A1] Process for producing hydrogen from a gas mixture comprising hydrogen, CO2, CO, CH4 and water, employing a CO2 PSA unit, a cryogenic unit and an H2 PSA unit, in which process: a) said gas mixture is introduced into the CO2 PSA unit, producing a CO2-enriched fraction and CO2-depleted fraction; b) CO2-enriched fraction is introduced into the cryogenic unit, producing a CO2-enriched fraction and an H2-enriched fraction; c) the H2-enriched fraction is recycled upstream of the H2 PSA unit; and d) the CO2-depleted fraction coming from step b) is introduced into the H2 PSA unit, producing a hydrogen-enriched stream and a waste gas.
