[origin: WO2010076121A1] The invention relates to the improvement of exterior lighting. The aim of the invention is to provide a lighting body for exterior lighting that has a very compact light-emitting element such that a lamp equipped therewith can be designed very compactly and still exhibit a high degree of illumination. This is achieved by means of a lighting body for exterior lighting having at least one light diode field (203) and a housing (201), wherein the light diode field has a plurality of light diodes that are surface-mounted on an individual carrier, wherein the light diodes have a diode element and an element having a luminophor allocated to said element, wherein the diode element and the element allocated thereto are arranged such that the light created by the diode element in operation actuates the luminophor, wherein the light diode field is arranged in the housing, wherein the housing is closed and has a substantially transparent section and having a heat transfer element arranged in the housing, wherein the carrier of the light diode field is thermally conductively connected to a fastening section of the heat transfer element.
