Abstract (en)
A device (1) for finishing edges and/or outer surfaces of workpieces comprises at least one tool-holder 17 for rotatably supporting a tool 16 around a rotation axis, at least one tool-holding unit 39 for rotatably supporting this at least one tool-holder (17) around a further rotation axis and a crosspiece element (7) for supporting this at least one tool-holding unit (39). In order to improve and make more uniform the surface quality of the machined workpieces, the device (1) comprises first driving means (8) to make the crosspiece element (7) oscillate along a direction (8) that is transverse, in particular perpendicular, to an advancing direction (A) of the workpieces.
