Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2377795A1] The system has a chair (20) comprising a backrest (23) and a seat surface (25), and a drive (18) e.g. hand drive, hydraulic drive or electric drive, for the chair. A switch (14) is arranged upstream, adjacent to or downstream of the drive. A radio field generator generates a spatial effect-limiting stray field around the chair. A control unit (70) is inserted into the stray field, and a field generator-activator-unit (10) switches the switch in an operational manner based on the insertion of the control unit into the stray field, where the control unit has an auxiliary switch. The generator, control unit and/or the activator are provided with radio units that enable communication on a radio-frequency identification-frequency band and/or Bluetooth-frequency band.
