[origin: EP2377796A1] The system (13) has a braking device i.e. wedge brake, for braking a trolley (20) arranged on a guiding surface (18) of a crane (10). A releasing device releases the braking device, where the trolley is braked between the braking device and the guiding surface using a frictional connection. The braking device has a drag shoe and multiple counter wedges that are arranged in a brake caliper connected with the trolley. The counter wedges are detachably fastened to the brake caliper. The drag shoe is detachably fixed to the brake caliper using a fixing device.
