[origin: EP2378524A1] A decontamination/detoxification composition, which comprises: (A) 10% to 40% by weight of a oxidizing agent including potassium or sodium isocyanurate dichloride and/or trichloride; (B) 8% to 35% by weight of a alkalinizing agent; (C) 30% to 70% by weight of at least one inorganic filler; (D) 0,5% to 5% by weight of at least one suspending agent and (E) 0% to 7% by weight of at least one surfactant, the total of the percentages by weight of the components (A) to (E) being 100%. The composition has a solubility in water at 20 °C of at least 90 grams/100 ml. The composition is free from metal oxides.
