Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010069761A1] The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner (4) having a filter replacement indicator (1), wherein the vacuum cleaner (4) comprises: a suction air guide (5), a dust separation unit (6) in a collection space (7) and a motor/blower unit (8) in a housing (26), and the filter replacement indicator (1) comprises: a data logger (2) and a signal unit (3), wherein the filter replacement indicator (1) can be controlled via the data logger (2) by a first parameter (9) outside of the vacuum cleaner (4), as well as by a second parameter (10) created by the motor/blower unit (8), wherein the second parameter (10), in connection with the first parameter (9), allows for a conclusion about a fault condition of the dust separation unit (6), wherein the data logger (2) can register a parameter present on or in the suction air guide (5) as a second parameter (10). The invention makes the assembly and function of a filter replacement indicator (1) on a handle (17) spaced away from a suction air guide (5) easier by means of simple design and cost-efficiency means. Furthermore, noise can be reduced and an intuitive fault indicator provided.
