[origin: WO2010072648A1] The invention relates to a method for determining an imbalance (U) occurring in a drum of a household appliance for cleaning linens, said imbalance brought about by a distribution of linens in an interior space of the drum, in which a static and a dynamic imbalance (Ustatic, Udynamic) are determined, wherein in each case an amplitude (A) value of a measurement parameter (W) that characterizes a movement behavior of a wash tub disposed in the household appliance is determined for at least two different values of a rotational speed (n) of the drum, and wherein the static and the dynamic imbalances (Ustatic, Udynamic) are determined as a function of the at least two values of the amplitude (A).
