[origin: WO2010069437A1] The invention relates to a door protection gate comprising a substantially flat first mesh (2) having a handle (9) on an upper transverse beam (3), said handle being pivotable about a pivot axis (15), wherein the handle (9) is drivingly connected to a first slider, particularly a plastic bumper (17), the longitudinal axis of which runs parallel to a longitudinal axis of the upper transverse beam (3), wherein the longitudinal axis of the upper transverse beam (3) lies in the plane of the door protection gate (1) and the handle (9) is part of a knee joint mechanism, wherein the handle (9) comprises a latch slider, wherein the handle (9) is secured against releasing in an end position of the latch slider.
