[origin: WO2010069883A1] The invention relates to an induction hob having a number of inductors (10) and a number of inverters (12) for supplying the inductors (10) with a heating current via in each case one circuit, and having a switching apparatus (14) for making and breaking the circuit. In order to save costs, it is proposed that the induction hob be equipped with a plurality of groups of a plurality of inductors (10), with the switching apparatus (14) being designed to connect the inductors (10) from one group to different inverters (12) in different switch positions.
