[origin: EP2380666A1] The mill drive system has a gear (1) with planetary stages (11,12) and a spur wheel, where a vertical shaft bearing is arranged. An electric motor (2) is integrated in housing (3) of the gear, where a rotor (21) and stator (22) of the electric motor has a vertically extending axel. An upper bearing cover (23) and a lower bearing (24) cover are mounted opposite to the rotor and stator and has a bearing seat for the rotor shaft bearing.
