Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2380746A2] The method involves heating rear side of an embossing stamp (1) at temperature, and arranging a hot embossing film between the embossing stamp and a substrate. The heated embossing stamp is pressed under pressure on the hot embossing film and the substrate, so that a transmission layer of the hot embossing film in a motif region is transferred to the substrate. The transmission layer of the hot embossing film is heated at temperature below embossing temperature at a region of a dry embossing insert (12) and is not transferred to the substrate. An independent claim is also included for an embossing stamp for transferring a transmission layer of a hot embossing film to a substrate.
