Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a method for automatic renewal of an identity document, comprising the steps a) registering a current identity document comprising data regarding a current identification, b) registering data regarding a new identification of a person, c) comparing at least one parameter of the new identification with at least one parameter of the current identification in order to determine by this comparison if both identifications indicate the same person and create a positive response if so, and d) if a positive response has been created, transmitting the new identification together with at least one data item to a centre for creating a new identity document. The invention also relates to a system for automatic renewal of an identity document.
