The method involves communicating a main module (210) arranged at a point of a loudspeaker line and a monitoring module (220) arranged at another distant point of the loudspeaker line. The impedance changes between the loudspeaker line and a ground reference (230) of a transmitting communication member in order to transmit the digital communication signal. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitoring a loudspeaker line of a public address system.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung sowie ein Verfahren zur Überwachung einer Lautsprecherlinie, wobei ein an einem ersten Punkt der Lautsprecherlinie (120) angeordnetes Hauptmodul (210) und wenigstens ein an einem zweiten, entfernten Punkt der Lautsprecherlinie (120) angeordnetes Überwachungsmodul (220) kommunizieren, wobei die Impedanz zwischen der Lautsprecherlinie (120) und einer Bezugsmasse (230) von dem sendenden Kommunikationsteilnehmer (210, 220) verändert wird, um ein digitales Kommunikationssignal zu übertragen.
