[origin: EP2381703A2] The method involves communicating a main module (210) arranged at a point of a loudspeaker line and a monitoring module (220) arranged at another distant point of the loudspeaker line. The impedance changes between the loudspeaker line and a ground reference (230) of a transmitting communication member in order to transmit the digital communication signal. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitoring a loudspeaker line of a public address system.
