[origin: EP2383760A1] The wall has a rigid grate having cross-section is orthogonal to closing surface of housing (62), and device forms valve (70) that is coupled to grate at level of intermediate frame and protruding on two sides by lips (80) able to rest on rims. Lips of device forms valve made from heat-resistant insulating material, having strength such that lip is rigid and flat when subjected to orthogonal pressure lower than primary threshold pressure. Lip deforms in reversible manner when orthogonal pressure is greater than secondary threshold pressure. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) arc extinguishing chamber; and (2) switchgear unit.
