[origin: WO2010071907A1] The invention relates to a filter apparatus (1) for cleaning an emissions-laden gas (7), comprising a hollow body (21) which separates a cavity (24) on the clean gas side from an outer space on the untreated gas side with a delimiting surface (11). At least one subsection of the delimiting surface (11) is formed by a gas-pervious filter element (12) for removing, for example, particulate emissions from a gas (7) which flows from the outer space through the filter element (12) into the cavity (24). In addition, at least one exit orifice (8) for removal of a filtered gas stream (9) from the cavity (24) is formed in the delimiting surface (11). In the flow path which leads from the filter element (12) to the exit orifice (8) is arranged at least one gas guiding element (2) with at least one guiding surface (5) akin to a screw surface, wherein one screw axis (6) of the guide surface (5) points in the direction of the exit orifice (8).
