[origin: WO2010086051A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a glulam slat carrier (1), comprising the following steps: producing slats (2) having mainly lying annual rings (3) of round timber (4), the slats (2) having respective first lateral faces (5a) which were facing the exterior (4a) of the round timber (4) of which they are produced, and second lateral faces (5b) which were facing the core (4b) of the round timber (4); producing a glulam slat carrier (6) by gluing, in parallel with the fibers thereof, a plurality of slats (2) which are arranged along their lateral faces (5a, 5b) to give a layer-type structure (7), the majority of said slats, preferably all, being slats (2) having mainly lying annual rings (3); producing glulam slats (8) by cutting the glulam support (6) in parallel to the fibers and at a right angle to the lateral faces (5a, 5b) of the slats (2), the glulam slats (8) being provided with cut surfaces (9) that extend at right angles to the lateral faces (5a, 5b) of the slats (2); and gluing at least a plurality of glulam slats (8) which are arranged along their cut surfaces (9) to give a layer-type structure (10). The invention allows an increased output of the production of slats for glued laminated timber.
