[origin: WO2010079061A1] The invention relates to a method for balancing the charge condition of battery cells, comprising the steps of: transferring energy from at least one first battery cell having a high charge condition to at least one second battery cell having a low charge condition, wherein said transfer of energy from at least one first battery cell to at least one second battery cell comprises a discharging of energy from one of the at least one first battery cells into an energy storage circuit, preferably a resonance circuit, and a discharging of energy from the energy storage circuit into one of the at least one second battery cells.
