[origin: WO2010081850A1] The invention relates to a vehicle equipped with a handling system for removable containers (1) for laterally (off)loading the containers (1) onto/from a receiving bed (33) of the vehicle. This system comprises a translational support (10) capable of translation movement along at least one lateral edge (37) of the bed, between a rear end and a front end of the bed, and an elevating module (20) able to move between a carriage position in which it is as one with the bed (33) at a rear end and an operating position in which it is as one with the translational support (10) in its movements along the lateral edge of the bed (33). A handling platform (28) is as one with the elevating module (20), capable of an elevating movement in a direction substantially perpendicular to the plane of the bed (33) and capable of a rotational movement between a folded position in which it is substantially perpendicular to the plane of the bed (33) and at least one unfolded position.
